A JOURNEY INTO THE ABSOLUTE REALITY

Before we can get a glimpse of the absolute reality a few facts that must be firmly engraved in the mind so that we can progress into the unknown realm with confidence and courage. Fear of the un-known or of any thing will only hinder the progress, this is because our consciousness will be occupied & trapped up with it. All information and knowledge acquired through the senses are the source of doubt, and doubt is the root cause of fear due to the existence of duality, a sense of un-surety envelops the individual’s thinking along with all types of imagination formed by insufficient information and knowledge, created  due to partial experience of daily life situation that we are involved with, this is also a source of fear. This develops impurities in the three levels, causing impediment to the flow of vital energy, as toxins in the body or stress and strain. Strain is that effort taken by the body to set right the disturbance, thus it always accompanies the stress. Every living being goes through the cycles of this, this is also caused by ignorance  & anxiety. In other words it can be felt as a sense of emptiness.

The journey is a process, beyond the Body And Mind, initially starting with the mind and then transcending into the absolute. That means that it is related totally with the SPIRITUAL REALM and feelings. The mind and body are not completely forgotten, we only don’t identify with them. This is because consciousness cannot transcend to this realm with out starting with the body conscious (BREATHING) and the transcending to the mind (SINGLE POINT CONCENTRATION). We then involve ourselves with only FEELINGS related to that which we are intensely thinking of. The transcending to the realms of feelings and staying there in a state of samadhi (State of bliss, in other words dissolving the feeling of separation, dissolving the ego). {We define feelings as the experience of all the possible things that can be imagined up to the subtle energy level, when information from anyone of the vision, taste, touch, smell, or sounds are focused by the consciousness.}

PROCEDURE

To succeed in these think that you are the source.

  • The goal is to become one with the absolute reality. The journey back is the reverse of, energy flow from feelings to thoughts. To succeed in this think that you are the source and the universe is receiving the energy.
  • This process is beyond the body and mind. We initially start with the purification of body mind and spirit. The technique used is guided breathing, diet, regular stretching exercise, regular meditation, and performing all acts as if we are not separate from the universe.
  • We are a partial consciousness of the universal consciousness, that is the sum total of the relative and absolute reality, thus any thing in this manifested or un-manifested universe cannot destroy it. Nor any thing in this manifested or un-manifested universe cannot harm us. Nothing can happen to our consciousness this is because we are in the domain of love the basic nature of everything with elimination of ego.
  • All that can happen is that consciousness can become strong or weak depending on our desire, the intensity, and clarity.
  • We use our intellectual power to any thing that we want transform; in a way it is instigating a flow of energy current.

There is nothing out side the supreme consciousness; everything we perceive is only a modification of the same either as our imagination based on the memory. THIS IS TRUE EVEN IF WE ARE NOT IDENTIFYING WITH THIS BODY.

  • The flow of energy from thoughts to feelings is to be maintained continuously in order to enter the realm of feelings. The method of doing this is to imagine that we are breathing lovingly and gently. Love is the pure form of feelings without differentiating it with different sense organs is the best way of meditating, in order to achieve single point state. Feel it as flowing through our body, this makes us the source and all the consciousness becomes one, The main effort during this stage is to stop the urge to attach with.
  • We initially start with the breathing, with thoughts of love in the mind and then transcend into the spiritual domain continuously feeling love emitted by us and that received from the universe or that, which bounces back to us from the limits of the universe.
  • Confidence can be developed after a few trips of leaving our relative consciousness Domain and coming back. There may be many attempts as initially we are not sure of what we are going to face thus we will turn back or terminate the experience.
  • The bridge to the outer universe is through the concentration of our breath and sound of the word “In breath SO, and out breath HAM.” This may also be a single alphabet sound (preferred) or the initiation mantra. This process is best done gradually.
  • The distance that we are able to travel out into the domain of absolute depends on the length of the breath intake and out breath. To become aware of this we may observe that our breath becomes shallower and shallower with length of breath becoming longer and longer as we reach the meditative state .
  • We reach the absolute when we can reach the stage of silent breath. This takes place when the external breathing ceases and the internal breathing that is so subtle is established firmly and consciously. (Kindly take help of your guru or learned experienced teacher).
  • The flow of energy from thoughts to feelings is to be maintained continuously. The method of doing this is to imagine that we are breathing love gently and deeply. To succeed in these think that we are the source.
  • The two most important tasks of perseverance and patients is a must for success. If we are not clear with whom and why we are communicating then the attempt is futile, We may try (communication with all, the supreme consciousness), a guru or a mentor or god as we conceptualize him/her, we may try communication with all the consciousness or any one, do not keep shifting from one to the other. Our untrained consciousness cannot establish a link with that which we don’t know.
  • EVERYONE HAS EXPERIENCED THIS IN THE DEEP SLEEP STATE, BUT NOW WE ARE TRYING CONSCIOUSLY.

One of the techniques of shifting awareness: -

  • The goal is to go beyond the mind into the domain of the feelings and Love. The communication here is done using feelings (BHAVANAS or PARA shakthi {that which is beyond}).These are projected into the universe.
  • Alternate nostril breathing. Close one of the nostrils and draw or expel breath through the other. Consciousness focused on the inner part of the base of the nose where it connects the upper lip is beneficial. The length of time that we can retain the breath is important. But please don’t exert yourself too much as it can increase the heat inside the body.
  • When both nostrils are fully one (breath flows evenly in both) the flow of vital energy can be guided into the central channel from the lunar or solar channel. Slowly the object of concentration becomes steady and single pointed. Now let the consciousness drift freely( this means do not identify with any thing just be aware of your breath subconsciously. The bio electric current formed by the static phenomenon due to flow of breath are picked up by the nerve endings at the roof of the nostril, these are connected to the hypothalamus part of the brain that guides the involuntary functions, one of which is thoughts and feelings.
  • When we reach the meditative state, try to remove the feeling of separation by thinking that we are not different from the object of concentration; this should remove the barriers or differentiation between our consciousness and that with the universal consciousness. { Visualizing this may help: - observe the steam coming out of the vessel as it boils, see how it disappears into the atmosphere. Another way is to imagine or visualize ourselves as a flame start to increase its size and engulf the entire environment of our consciousness}. This is similar to becoming one with the environment.

Some of the problems faced during this practice.

  • As feelings rise they have a natural tendency of trying to attach themselves to any object or subject As feelings and thoughts rise in the mind they tend to attach themselves to either memory, objects or subjects, so that it is recognized by the consciousness. Remind our selves that there is no difference in the actual energy; everything appears different due to the interaction with each other. This is due to the need to establish consciousness with what we already know (thus we can see the difficulty we are going to face in the initial stages), our untrained consciousness cannot establish a link with that which we don’t know.
  • As new consciousness are realized one needs to be careful not to get attached to the powers that come along with it, yogi can be easily trapped in the splendor and magnificence of these. This is the main reason that detachment is a part of the training to the initiate. Renunciation as understood is not denial of the object of subject or any act as lived by humans IT IS ONLY REALISED WITHOUT ATTACHMENT OR CLINGING.
  • Any physical health problems will not let the steady state of energy flow from thoughts to feelings as our attention is drawn to the disturbance. NEW sicknesses are a common phenomena along with this practice. It is when all the trapped or accumulated energy is released the progress is easy.
  • If purification of the lower chakra is not completed then sudden release of energy will induce sickness. This is one of the ways the subtle body purifies themselves releasing energy into the environment.
  • This energy if released consciously as in meditation can be guided by our intellect to be transformed to useful channels there by getting benefit in the terms of progress in achieving higher levels of enlightenment.
  • Purifying the higher chakras without purifying the lower ones will create difficulties in the progress.
  • Never force the event of opening our consciousness to specific experiences as learnt by discussions with fellow colleagues or reading books. These may only lead us to what we want rather than what the real thing is.
  • Most of the experiences in the initial state are related to the memory of the present and previous lives. So let them flow with out trying to analyze or understand them, as this is getting attached or involved. It may be sometimes not possible to stay detached, in such a case let ourselves relive (without any great importance to it) the incident; this will remove the element of importance we attach to them.
