Meditative state “Turyia or samadhi”
All the energy signals in different frequencies amplitude and wave length are brought by the center of nervous system the brain through connections with the senses using two way communication, the consciousness is what decides the energy that should be focused or witnessed or perform identifying (interacting, defining, analyzing, wanting to understand, or just observing). The two ways communication is what ensures the unbroken communication, meaning that to stay with those particular sense organs continuously, this TWO WAY COMMUNICATION should be established. This depends on our likes and dislikes and the intensity of desire we have for the same will ensure the stead fastness we maintain the link. This is what we require to establish with the point of concentration detaching from the sense organs as far as possible to achieve single point concentration with the pure abstract topic. Now we have achieved the state to allow mediation to dawn on us.
When consciousness stops identifying itself or with the focused a state of freedom (stilling is experienced, it is a state of silence just like in deep sleep where there is no active consciousness of awareness, but in the meditative state of bliss (turiya) there is consciousness with out definition!!! This is what we progress as purification sets in.
Yoga or union can be achieved through many ways, in many levels and different proportions or aspects.
Astanga yoga can be used in all the three paths of spirituality,
1. Karma desire less acts of any work performed towards the entire mankind, with out anticipating any returns.
2. Bakthi devotion to the supreme self, and
3. Janna acquiring true, correct, and supreme pure information, understanding or knowledge, practicing the same to achieve wisdom.
The complete understanding of yoga is possible only if all the three paths of spirituality are used in combination; this is as per the capacity of each aspirant and will make it possible for all to apply this in all the three in every walk of life. We are not going to deal with details of the three paths mentioned above, as it will lead to anticipation of the same causing a limitation and not freedom with complete expansion Yoga or union Or Merging “I” & “i”
The only permanent thing in this whole universe manifested and un-manifested is nature; some of us know her as Mother Nature or Prakrathi. Purusha Consciousness enters her (YOGA in body mind and spirit {the five elements}) to start the creation of everything in the manifested and un-manifested. Similarly Mediating on these is enabling our consciousness to enter these elements, this is required because we will not be able to understand these elements to the subtle part, more over it is not possible to transcend into the next chakra with understanding the previous. When we are at the lower chakras then we can say that our meditation or state of concentration is engrossed with the single element pertaining to that chakra, progressing to the next chakra will then happen when difference between say earth element and water element is reduced or removed completely.
How is this done? Simply by first breaking them down to their basic structure (atoms) and then to the energy that both posses that is the element fire, NOW WE SEE THE NEXT CHAKRA that is the fire element in the manipura chakra, proceeding further up we remove the difference between fire and air, further up remove the difference between air and space (pure energy in expanded form), from here onwards we enter the energy zone with different lights. Above this we remove the differentiation of lights to reach the zone of true transparent light [note here kindly don’t concentrate on the rays as they have the capacity to burn everything just stay with the center of the disc which is cool and pleasant, but not cold.]
The state of true undifferentiated meditative bliss as we understand and experience is called “Turiya”.
It is not a dream, it is not a conscious feeling of sleeping or relaxed feeling of sleep or detachment from everything that is external and internal, and it is definitely not deep sleep or unconsciousness.
To explain this state within the limited vocabulary available in any language known to us is just impossible. It can be best described with feelings an exceptional experience, [to put it as a child’s way of ex-pression “YES” describing it with both hands fists clinched bent at the elbow body slightly crouched and an broad smile on the face may just touch the tip of the ice berg]. May be in the future new words will be developed or invented to enable limiting the limitless. Thus, this is always quoted in the texts as negating everything “neither this nor that”, or as “not this not this, nethi- nethi”. This is because everything is happening all at the same time. And consciousness can focus only on one thing at a time and selecting any one thing from the totality will only make us loose the state and come back among the limited definition of that which we have selected.
Will Be Continued.
